Our Expert Panel can be consulted on issues adjacent to our core financial management services, including fundraising and financial structuring, due diligence services, human resources, commercial law, recruitment, statutory accounting and tax planning.   • Andrew Riddington

    Andrew is a founder of VantagePoint and has worked with small businesses for over 15 years, specialising in establishing robust and efficient systems for financial and commercial management. He has particular expertise in the media and communications sector, where he has worked as a full-time Commercial and Financial director and in several interim and part-time executive positions.

  • Julia Cox

    Julia is a chartered accountant, experienced in working across all levels of financial & commercial management, from basic controls & reconciliations in small management accounts teams through to board level strategic planning. She has worked with all sizes of business, in various sectors, and specialises in the retail sector. She took a leading financial role in the successful sale of a high street food outlet chain, including writing & reviewing due diligence reports, participating in buyer meetings & preparing finance management presentations. Additionally, Julia designs & delivers financial skills training courses, using her ability to communicate key finance concepts to non-financial managers.

  • Martyn Crouch

    Martyn qualified as a chartered accountant with PriceWaterhouse and has since undertaken senior commercial and finance roles at Linde, Orange, Dyson and Capita, gaining experience in financial and business reporting, financial control, commercial tenders, financial management for new product / market launches and multi-country implementations of ERP and CRM systems including SAP, BaaN and Salesforce.

  • Damian Griffiths

    Damian qualified as a chartered accountant with EY and has led finance teams in larger UK businesses prior to taking on commercially-orientated finance roles with a number of young, service sector businesses, where he has steered them safely through phases of growth, including re-organisations and small company M&A.

  • Ceeri Heasman

    Ceeri is a chartered certified accountant who started out in retail accounts, working for French Connection and Nicole Farhi before transferring to the banking sector, where she held 4 varying accountancy roles at Societe Generale over the course of 10 years.  Following a career break and 2 daughters, she is relishing her return to the workplace.

  • Rowena Swallow

    Rowena qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young and later progressed through various roles at the BBC before being appointed Finance Director of Orion Publishing Group, a Hachette subsidiary.  She is a problem-solver, with particular experience of simplifying and improving financial systems, reports and processes and enjoys working with people from all functional areas in a business to ensure that its finance operations provide valuable, cost effective information and service.

  • Tim de Vere Green

    Tim is the founder and CEO of Origin Capital and an Investment Director with Thames Valley Capital, a specialist provider of equity and debt funding to early-stage and mid-sized businesses and has wide experience of corporate finance assignments and venture capital funding in SMEs. Tim has held executive and non-executive board positions with several early-stage companies and has an excellent understanding of the issues these businesses face as they grow.

  • Melanie Mapstone

    Melanie is a general commercial lawyer with Talbots LLP, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, management buy-outs and buy-ins, and corporate restructuring. Her expertise includes shareholders and partnership agreements, terms and conditions of business, and franchise and distribution agreements. Talbots’ general experience encompasses company & commercial law, commercial property, employment law and dispute resolution.

  • Alan Barlow

    Alan is a partner at Morris Owen, a firm of chartered accountants and business advisers with offices in the South of England. Alan specialises in wealth optimisation through tax planning, ensuring both entrepreneurs and owners of more established businesses maximise tax efficiency, whilst remaining fully compliant with UK law.
