Case studies

  • Pinch Design |

Pinch is an independent designer of high-end furniture, cabinetry and household furnishings. VantagePoint was appointed following a period of rapid growth, when the business had little by way of internal financial administrative resources. VantagePoint took over Pinch’s bookkeeping, management accounting and financial control functions. Alongside this, we helped the company to rewrite its business plan, putting more focus on target products and sales channels, marketing strategy, and staffing and other resource requirements. The success of the relationship between Pinch and VantagePoint relies on our ability to understand the company’s commercial and financial landscape, whilst at the same time retaining an independent perspective.

  • Alford House |

Alford House is a registered charity, running a large youth club based in Kennington, London. VantagePoint is retained to manage the organisation’s entire book-keeping process, taking advantage of incumbent resources for data entry, and to produce regular management accounts and forward forecasts. The usual financial pressures on charities apply in Alford House’s case and VantagePoint is seen as vital in keeping costs of these activities low, and in providing high quality information that minimises the expense of the charity’s annual statutory audit.

  • Greenrunning |

Greenrunning designs, manufactures and sells technology equipment for assessing energy use in domestic and commercial premises. VantagePoint was engaged at start-up phase to create systems and processes to allow the founder to access relevant financial and operational performance data using minimal external bookkeeping resource. Greenrunning’s overall monthly requirement for assistance continues to be quite modest and VantagePoint’s engagement is conducted largely remotely, to help keep costs to a minimum.

  • Luta |

Luta is a fast-growing retailer selling high-quality sports, leisure and fightwear garments.  VantagePoint was engaged at creation of the business to build all its financial administration processes, from scratch. Now the business is more established, bookkeeping, financial control, reporting and forecasting are all managed by VantagePoint, but using a combination of in-house and external resources.Flexibility of staffing and cost has been vital to Luta during its initial trading, together with the provision of rapid and accurate reporting to investors and management.

  • Movement Strategies |

  • onedotzero |

onedotzero is a London-based film and digital arts organisation which commissions, showcases and promotes a wide range of moving image, digital and interactive arts. The organisation has a ‘hybrid’ funding structure (part Arts Council funded, part commercially supported), which requires it to produce a broad range of financial reports for various interested parties.
